Michael Shenk—Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer

Michael Shenk, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of The Crown Valley Group, is actively engaged in the company’s operations, strategic direction and financial planning and oversight. Upon graduating from The University of Georgia in 1991 with an undergraduate degree in Finance, Shenk began his career at The Home Depot, where he served as a financial analyst responsible for creating budgets for over 200 business units. In 1995, Shenk returned to The University of Georgia where he earned his Masters in Business Administration with a concentration in entrepreneurial studies and real estate finance. After graduating, Shenk served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for Gamson Metal Industries, a demolition company with a specialty in maximizing scrap value form demolition projects. Overseeing the company’s operations and finances, he helped to lead the company to triple digit growth during his three years there. In 1998, Gamson Metal Industries merged with a larger competitor and Michael joined Definition 6 as Chief Financial Officer, a position he held through the summer of 2005.

Michael is an active member of the Atlanta community, where he lives with his wife.

Dave Cruise—Underwriting & Portfolio Manager

Dave brings 13 years of real estate investing and ownership experience to his role as Underwriting and Portfolio Manager for the Crown Valley Group. After graduating from Illinois State University in 1994 Dave began buying real estate for investment purposes. Over the years he has gained extensive experience in commercial, residential and multi-family transactions. Dave has also been involved with over one-hundred renovation projects in his career. Dave started with the Crown Valley Group in early 2006 and looks forward to continued contributions to the overall success of the company.

Dave’s main interests include spending time with his family, real estate investments and sports.

Jill Hayes—Marketing & Portfolio Manager

Crown Valley welcomed Jill to the team in February 2007. She has a strong background in residential real estate sales, marketing and team management.

Jill began her real estate career in 1999. Initially she consulted with several RE/Max top producing agents in the Metro area creating a team that brought much success to all involved. Through her experience, she developed a vast knowledge and comprehension of the multiple layers of creating and closing the deal. Her consulting and sales management experience led to her success as an individual Realtor and later a team manager with Keller Williams Realty, where she still remains a vested member in profit sharing. Jill has received numerous awards and honors for her sales accomplishments. In addition, she also has a BA in Accounting and is alumni to the National Technical Honor Society.

Jill is a valuable asset as Marketing & Portfolio Manager to the Crown Valley Team.She focuses on residential property inventory sales & loan management. She also creates, designs, and develops all of our marketing material, while working closely with Robert, to deliver an active presence in the Real Estate Investment Industry. Jill lives in the metro Atlanta area with her children. Her hobbies include horseback riding, nature hikes, Yoga/Pilates and spending time with family and friends.

Mike Asche—Acquisitions Manager

As Acquisitions Manager for The Crown Valley Group, Mike is responsible for all residential and commercial acquisitions. Mike has been with the company since 2002. His extensive knowledge of the Atlanta real estate market and large network of business relationships within the industry has created and continues to create the production of many quality deals for the Crown Valley Group and its Investors.

With a degree in Sociology, Mike began his career in New York’s garment industry where, for a period of eight years, he excelled in sales management for some of the industries leading manufactures. Then, with an entrepreneurs spirit, Mike transitioned to the restaurant business, where he was a successful restaurant owner for more the 15 years. He also sat on the Advisory board for a prestigious manufacture at the same time.

Mike enjoys spending time with his family, all sports and any book with a message. He prides himself for his exceptional work ethic.

James Melton—Account Executive

James Melton joined the Crown Valley Group as an Account Executive in January 2008.

James brings almost a decade of mortgage experience, including residential and commercial real estate hard money production of over $35 million dollars.

Recently married to his wife Christen, James enjoys spending time with his family, friends and dogs; Kobe and Toby. James also enjoys Real Estate Investing, Sports, and working out.
